Year Four

In this, the fourth year of Bamjee-Mayet:

There are no side-kicks here.
We save this world together.

Without you,

it was another lifetime.

With you

is all of this life,

all of this time.

  1. shafinaaz: four is a lovely number?

    Some would beg to differ!

The Chinese and Japanese for instance, associate it with death. In Japan they will never lay the table for four people, but for five, even if only four will be at the table.
Chopstick rests, for instance, are sold in fives, never in fours. 🙂
In case you ever invite a Japanese to your table.

  2. Salaams Saaleha, congrats!!

Allah hu laka wa baa rak Allah hu alaika wa jama’aa bainakuma fi khair.

Here’s to many many many more, Aameen

    Hope you well?!

  3. May Allah grant you and Naeem many more years of happiness 🙂 Ameen 🙂

Happy Four years to you guys 🙂

I still can’t believe it’s been 4 years for us
    🙂

  4. Ameen to Nanima’s dua. Your anniversary, I take it?

It really is amazing how it does feel like another lifetime. For us, it’s been almost 4.5 years, yet it feels like an entire lifetime. Never mind all those years – just the last 2.5 – with a child – has felt like decades.

And then I think of how this WHOLE life will seem like the blink of an eye once we get to the Hereafter…

May Allah bless you and shower HIS blessings on you and place goodness between both of you”
